The Peak at Toronto by Instant Suites

Shabby apartment and disappointed client Positive: Liked the location and the comfy bed. Negative: I used your services to book several hotels on my trip to Canada and was happy with all of them except this location. We found many defects in the property on our stay. The Keycafe service used by the condo for picking up the key was in a rundown market somewhat distant from the hotel which if you are carrying luggage did not work effectively for a couple like us as we found it difficult to maneuver so we had to contact the company Instant Suites during pick up and drop off the keys. The property as found had greasy arm chairs with dirty arms that one did not feel clean enough to want to sit in. They specified that there was no smoking in the property with a sign in the location yet there was an ash tray on the table. The curtain rod to the balcony separated and fell on my husband when he tried to open the curtains to the balcony. There were many items in the property that were in disrepair including a towel bar in the bathroom that had come off the wall and a toilet flush that was broken in half and greasy dirty pots and pans. The closet door would not open without squeaking and seemed to derail off the tracks. Even the Wifi information was confusing because the first email message gave one link and was changed to another one a few days prior to arrival. All in all the communications are a huge mess with this property because they sent several emails to my email address with the same information and did not flag the change in Wifi Password within the email. When we tried to bring these defects to the attention of staff at Instant Suites. We got a call back from the owner who wanted to argue with me and when I refused to engage, he sent me a long email refusing to acknowledge the issues raised. This was really upsetting specially when we were trying to relax on our vacation.The only good aspects of this condo are its prime location and the comfort of the bed. Do not book this place and find some other location.

Positive: The view from the balcony is beautiful. Negative: Before we get to the room, we had to pick up the keys at another location which was a bit complicated to get. When we arrived at the room, it was dirty with toothpaste in the mirror and the bathtub carpet was on the floor wet. We did not use the refrigerator because of the smell of it. Also, when we were about to sleep, a screw from the base fell off because it was stripped so we did not slept well. The next night, we had to put something under the bed to make sure that is more stable but even with that, it was not confortable. I spoke to the owner but never gets back to me as I asked a compensation to it.
